مجموعهای از اعمال رسمی که برای احترام، بزرگداشت یا جشن گرفتن فرد، رویداد یا ایدهای خاص انجام میشود.
Any set of formal actions done mainly to show respect, honor, or celebrate a specific person, event, or idea.
«مراسم روشن کردن شمعها نماد امید است.»

«آنها مراسم را با احترام زیادی انجام دادند.»

رسمی/خنثی. وقتی روی اعمال سنتی یا مذهبی تاکید باشد جایگزین ceremony میشود، مثل «آیین ازدواج». برای مراسمهای غیرمذهبی کمتر مناسب است.
Neutral/formal. Can replace 'ceremony' when emphasizing traditional or religious acts, e.g. 'wedding ritual'. Less suitable for secular formal events like graduations.
رسمی/رایج. در مراسمهای رسمی اجتماعی جایگزین است مثل «مراسم خیریه». برای موقعیتهای مذهبی یا سنتی کمتر استفاده میشود.
Common/formal. Can replace 'ceremony' in formal social gatherings, e.g. 'a charity function'. Not suitable for religious or very traditional contexts.
رسمی. برای اعمال رسمی حفظ آداب یا قوانین، مثلا «بزرگداشت تعطیلات» به کار میرود. بیشتر روی انجام عمل است تا یک مراسم مشخص.
Formal. Used for formal acts showing respect for customs or laws, e.g. 'observance of holidays'. Less about events and more about practice.
رسمی/مذهبی. شبیه است ولی بیشتر روی اعمال نمادین مذهبی یا فرهنگی تمرکز دارد، نه همه مراسم رسمی.
Formal/religious. Similar but emphasizes symbolic actions, usually religious or cultural, not general formal acts.
