رایج. وقتی تأکید بیشتر روی تقلیدهای ناپسند یا بازیگوشانه باشد کاربرد دارد؛ مثلاً «خنده تمسخرآمیز» مناسب است؛ نسبت به taunting درد کمتری دارد.
Common. Used interchangeably when emphasizing imitation in a rude or playful way, e.g. 'mocking laughter' fits; less emotional pain implied than 'taunting'.
رایج/رسمی. در مواردی شبیه taunting است وقتی جمله کاملاً تلخ یا گزنده است. بیشتر برای بیان کنایه است؛ همیشه هدفش آزار جسمی نیست ولی ممکن است آزرده کند.
