رسمی؛ برای ابراز سپاس معمولاً در موقعیتهای مودبانه یا رسمی استفاده میشود. هنگام ابراز قدردانی قابل جایگزینی با thank است، مثلاً «I appreciate your help» مثل «I thank you for your help» است ولی در مواقع غیررسمی برای گفتن تشکر کاربرد ندارد.
