تفاوت با واژههای مشابه

Often carries a negative connotation, implying narrow-mindedness or division based on religious or political sects. 'Denominational' is more neutral. 'Sectarian violence' works, 'denominational school' is more appropriate when no negative judgment is implied.

Broader term. All denominational institutions are religious, but not all religious institutions are denominational (e.g., a general interfaith organization). Use 'religious' when the specific sect isn't the focus. 'Religious beliefs' works, 'denominational differences' highlights distinctions between sects.
