تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی/فنی. به تحت تأثیر الکل یا مواد مخدر بودن اشاره دارد. در حالی که 'hungover' نتیجه مستی است، 'intoxicated' وضعیت در طول یا کمی پس از مصرف را توصیف میکند، نه ناخوشی روز بعد را.
Formal/Technical. Refers to being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While 'hungover' is a consequence of intoxication, 'intoxicated' describes the state during or shortly after consumption, not the next-day sickness.
روزمره. به حالت تهوع داشتن اشاره دارد. یکی از علائم خماری است، اما تمام وضعیت را پوشش نمیدهد. 'حالت تهوع دارم' درست است، اما 'من حالت تهوع دارم' به طور کامل جایگزین 'من خمار هستم' نمیشود.
Everyday. Refers to feeling sick to one's stomach. A symptom of being hungover, but not the entire condition. 'I feel queasy' works, but 'I am queasy' doesn't fully replace 'I am hungover'.
