Everyday. Interchangeable when intentionally not paying attention; 'ignore the problem' works but not for unintentional neglect, e.g. 'She neglected her duties' implies carelessness, not deliberate ignoring.

Everyday/formal. Often means to miss something by mistake; similar but less severe than neglect. 'He overlooked an error' fits, but not for long-term carelessness.
