فنی/پزشکی. برداشتن کامل یا بخشی از یک اندام یا قسمت بدن با جراحی. با 'resections' قابل تعویض نیست، زیرا 'amputations' به معنای برداشتن کل یک اندام است، نه فقط بخشی از یک اندام داخلی یا بافت.
Technical/Medical. The surgical removal of all or part of a limb or extremity. 'Leg amputation' works. Not interchangeable with 'resections' as 'amputations' implies removal of an entire limb, not just a portion of an internal organ or tissue.
