Common. Interchangeable with 'social stratum' in most contexts referring to divisions in society by status or wealth. 'Social class' is more frequently used in everyday language.
رسمی/تاریخی. به طبقات اجتماعی ارثی ثابت، به ویژه در جنوب آسیا اشاره دارد. در همه زمینهها جایگزین 'social stratum' نیست.
Formal/historical. Refers to fixed hereditary social groups, especially in South Asia. Not interchangeable in all contexts with 'social stratum' which is broader.
