تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی و ادبی. در بحثهای مربوط به پایان دنیا قابل جایگزینی است. بیشتر در زمینههای جدی یا مذهبی به کار میرود.
Formal and literary. Interchangeable when discussing end-of-world scenarios — 'apocalyptic visions' and 'doomsday visions' both fit. Used mainly in serious or religious contexts.
رایج و رسمی. وقتی بخواهیم بزرگی فاجعه را تأکید کنیم جایگزین میشود ولی apocalyptic بیشتر به پایان دنیا اشاره دارد.
Common and formal. Can replace 'apocalyptic' when emphasizing disaster scale, but 'apocalyptic' stresses end-times, 'catastrophic' does not necessarily.
