تنفس کردن یعنی هوا را به داخل ریهها بردن و بیرون دادن.

تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
inhale— دمیدن
رسمی. مخصوص کشیدن هوا یا دود به داخل است؛ در همه موارد قابل جایگزینی نیست.
Formal. Used specifically for taking air or smoke in; not interchangeable in all contexts. For example, 'inhale smoke' works, but 'inhale quietly' is unusual.
exhale— بازدم کردن
رسمی. فقط به بیرون دادن هوا اشاره دارد و جایگزین breathe که هم دم و هم بازدم است نمیشود.
Formal. Refers to letting air out of the lungs, not interchangeable with breathe which covers both inhale and exhale.
