تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی/ادبی. تأکید قویتری بر فرار از خطر یا تعقیب دارد. 'پناهندگان از منطقه جنگی گریختند' درست است، اما 'او با پول فرار کرد' (He decamped with the money) بهتر از 'او با پول گریخت' (He fled with the money) است اگر تمرکز اصلی بر خروج مخفیانه باشد، نه فقط خطر. Flee به معنای فرار فوری و ناامیدانه است.
Formal/Literary. Stronger emphasis on escape from danger or pursuit. 'The refugees fled the war zone' works, but 'He decamped with the money' works better than 'He fled with the money' if the primary focus is the secretive departure, not just danger. 'Flee' implies immediate, desperate escape.

Formal/Legal. Specifically implies secretly leaving, often with stolen money or to avoid legal prosecution. 'The cashier absconded with the company funds' works, but 'They absconded from the party early' sounds too dramatic. 'Abscond' always implies wrongdoing.
