روزمره/پزشکی. فردی که تحت تأثیر کوتولگی قرار دارد، یک بیماری ژنتیکی یا پزشکی که منجر به قد کوتاه میشود. Dwarf اصطلاح پذیرفته شده بالینی و عموماً ترجیح داده شده است. قابل جایگزینی، اما dwarf بسیار محترمانهتر است. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs درست است، Snow White and the Seven Midgets منسوخ و توهینآمیز است.
Everyday/medical. A person affected by dwarfism, a genetic or medical condition resulting in short stature. 'Dwarf' is the clinically accepted and generally preferred term. Interchangeable, but 'dwarf' is much more respectful. 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' works, 'Snow White and the Seven Midgets' is outdated and offensive.
