تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره. بسیار شبیه به perimeter و اغلب قابل تعویض، به خصوص برای لبه یک منطقه یا ملک. 'مرز باغ' ('The boundary of the garden') به خوبی 'محیط باغ' ('the perimeter of the garden') کار میکند. اما perimeter بیشتر به اندازهگیری آن مرز اشاره دارد.
Everyday. Very similar to 'perimeter' and often interchangeable, especially for the edge of an area or property. 'The boundary of the garden' works as well as 'the perimeter of the garden'. However, 'perimeter' is more specific to the measurement of that boundary.
فنی/خاص. به طور خاص به محیط یک شکل دایرهای اشاره دارد. 'محیط دایره' ('The circumference of a circle') درست است، اما 'محیط مربع' ('the circumference of a square') گفته نمیشود.
Technical/specific. Refers specifically to the perimeter of a circular shape. 'The circumference of a circle' works, but you wouldn't say 'the circumference of a square'.
