تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. وقتی به زور و ستم ناعادلانه تاکید است، جایگزین persecutor میشود؛ معمولاً برای ظلم کلی به کار میرود.
Formal. Can replace persecutor when emphasizing unjust exercise of power, e.g. 'an oppressive regime' vs 'a persecuting regime'. Used more broadly for tyranny.
رایج. وقتی تمرکز روی ایجاد رنج باشد میتوان استفاده کرد. کمتر برای ظلمهای سازمانیافته به کار میرود.
Common. Interchangeable with persecutor when focus is on causing suffering, e.g. 'His tormentor never stopped'. Less used for systemic or ideological persecution.
