تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی/آکادمیک. اغلب مترادف «professorship» استفاده میشود، به ویژه وقتی به یک موقعیت خاص یا موقوفی در یک دپارتمان اشاره دارد. «Chair» میتواند به شخص دارنده موقعیت نیز اشاره کند (مانند رئیس دپارتمان).
Formal/Academic. Often used synonymously with 'professorship', especially when referring to an endowed or specific position within a department. 'Chair' can also refer to the person holding the position (e.g., 'the chair of the department').
