رسمی. این اصطلاح کلیتر برای درگیر شدن در فعالیت جنسی در ازای پول است و لزوماً به حضور در خیابان مربوط نمیشود. 'او به جرم فاحشگی دستگیر شد' کلیتر است؛ 'او به جرم خیابانگردی دستگیر شد' مکان را مشخص میکند.
Formal. This is the broader term for engaging in sexual activity for payment, not specifically tied to being on the street. 'She was arrested for prostitution' is more general; 'She was arrested for streetwalking' specifies the location.
غیررسمی/عامیانه. میتواند به تنفروشی اشاره کند، اما به سایر فعالیتهای غیرقانونی برای کسب درآمد نیز گفته میشود. مفهوم تهاجمی بودن در یافتن مشتری را دارد. اگر زمینه کاملاً قانونی یا رسمی باشد، قابل تعویض نیست.
Informal/slang. Can refer to prostitution but also to various other illicit activities to make money. It carries a connotation of being aggressive in seeking clients. Not interchangeable if the context is strictly legal or formal.
