رسمی. سکوی بلندی در کلیسا یا مسجد که از آن خطبهها ایراد میشود. از نظر کارکرد (جایی برای سخنرانی) به طور کلی قابل تعویض است اما از نظر زمینه مذهبی (کلیسا در مقابل کنیسه) خیر.
Formal. A raised platform in a church or mosque from which sermons are delivered. It is broadly interchangeable in function (a place for speaking) but not in religious context (church vs. synagogue).
