تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. میتواند جایگزین building بشود اما ساختار کلیتری دارد و شامل پلها نیز میشود. مثلا 'steel structure' درست است ولی معادل کلی برای 'residential building' نیست.
Formal. Can replace 'building' in most contexts, but 'structure' is broader and includes non-building constructions like bridges. Example: 'structure' works for 'a steel structure' but not exactly for 'a residential building'.
رسمی/ادبی. معمولاً به بناهای بزرگ و چشمگیر اشاره دارد. کمتر در زبان روزمره به جای building میآید.
Formal/literary. Refers usually to large or impressive buildings. Less interchangeable in daily use. Example: 'A grand edifice' fits, but not for a small house.
