رسمی/حقوقی. اغلب به تخلفات کوچکتر یا نقض کلی یک قانون اشاره دارد، نه لزوماً جرم سنگین. در بافت حقوقی برای اعمال غیرقانونی قابل جایگزینی است، اما 'crime' شدت بیشتری را میرساند. 'Parking offense' درست است، 'murder offense' کمتر از 'murder crime' رایج است.
Formal/legal. Often refers to minor infractions or a general breaking of a rule, not necessarily a severe crime. Interchangeable with 'crime' when referring to illegal acts in a legal context, but 'crime' implies more severity. 'Parking offense' works, 'murder offense' is less common than 'murder crime'.
