رسمی. زمانی که به فردی که در زندان نگهداری میشود، معمولاً پس از محکومیت، اشاره دارد، قابل جایگزینی است. Detainment میتواند برای دورههای کوتاهتر و بدون محکومیت باشد.
Formal. Interchangeable with 'detainment' when referring to a person being held in jail or prison, usually after conviction. 'Detainment' can be for shorter periods without conviction. 'He was imprisoned for theft' works, 'His detainment for theft' is less common for conviction.
حقوقی/رسمی. به وضعیت نگهداری توسط پلیس یا در زندان اشاره دارد. برای بازداشتهای اولیه یا زمانی که فرد توسط مقامات نگهداری میشود، قابل جایگزینی با detainment است.
Legal/formal. Refers to the state of being held by police or in prison. Can be used interchangeably with 'detainment' for initial arrests or when a person is being held by authorities. 'Police custody' is common.
