تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. در حالی که «postscript» معمولاً به اضافهای در انتهای نامه (P.S.) اشاره دارد، میتواند به صورت استعاری به یک اظهارنظر یا بخش اضافی در پایان یک چیز بزرگتر نیز اشاره کند، هرچند کمتر برای یک اثر روایی کامل. «مصاحبه یک پسنوشت بر کارنامه طولانی او بود» صحیح است، اما جایگزین مستقیمی برای یک پایاننامه ادبی نیست.
Common. While 'postscript' typically refers to an addition at the end of a letter (P.S.), it can also metaphorically refer to an additional remark or section added at the end of something larger, though less commonly for a full narrative work. 'The interview was a postscript to his long career' works, but it's not a direct substitute for a literary epilogue.

Formal/Literary. 'Coda' is often used in music to denote a concluding passage, but can be applied to literature or events to mean a concluding part, though it suggests a more artistic or subtle end than a direct summary or explanation. 'The final scene was a poignant coda to the story' works.
