رسمی/تاریخی. بیشتر در زمینههای دینی یا تاریخی برای اشاره به غیرمسیحیان به کار میرود و با heathen همپوشانی دارد.
Formal/historical. Used historically or formally to refer to someone with non-Christian beliefs, somewhat overlapping with 'heathen'. 'Pagan' is more often used in religious or historical contexts.

رسمی/تاریخی. به عنوان صفت هم برای توصیف آداب یا مردم خارج از دینهای بزرگ به کار میرود، اغلب در نوشتههای قدیمی.
برای ابراز نارضایتی یا تعجب از رفتار کسی به کار میرود و معنی کلی آن «کافر» یا «نجس» است
