متداول. در حالی که 'stoical' به تحمل عمدی اشاره دارد، 'impassive' صرفاً به عدم ابراز احساسات اشاره میکند، بدون توجه به وجود درد یا سختی. فردی ممکن است به دلیل فقدان احساس بیتفاوت باشد، نه فقط خودکنترلی قوی. Common. While 'stoical' implies a deliberate endurance, 'impassive' simply means not showing emotion, regardless of whether there's pain or hardship. Someone might be impassive due to lack of feeling, not just strong self-control. 'Her impassive face revealed nothing' works, 'her stoical face' works if she is enduring something.
