تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی/دانشگاهی. هنگام بررسی یک پرسش میتواند جایگزین این عبارت شود، مانند investigate the cause، اما برای یک مطالعهٔ گسترده و بلندمدت کمتر مناسب است. وقتی هدف یافتن واقعیتهاست از آن استفاده میشود.
Formal/academic. It can replace 'carry out research of' when examining a question, as in 'investigate the cause'; it is less suitable for a broad long-term study. Choose it when the inquiry is focused on finding facts.
روزمره/دانشگاهی. در جملهای مانند study the effects of pollution میتواند جایگزین شود، اما معنای درس خواندن هم دارد. برای بررسی کلی بدون تأکید بر فرایند پژوهش بهکار میرود.
Everyday/academic. It can replace the phrase in 'study the effects of pollution', but it also means reading or learning a subject. Choose it for a general examination without stressing the research process.
