رسمی. مجازاتی که در ازای یک خطا اعمال میشود. اغلب به معنای پاسخی جدیتر و رسمیتر از 'comeuppance' است. 'کیفر الهی'.
Formal. Punishment inflicted in return for a wrong. Often implies a more severe and official response than 'comeuppance'. 'Divine retribution'.

Spiritual/Informal. The sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. Often used informally to mean deserved bad luck. 'It was bad karma for his actions'.
