تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی/فنی. در بافتهای حقوقی یا رسمی با 'guns' قابل تعویض است. 'قانونگذاری سلاح گرم' مناسب است، اما 'او برای شکار چند سلاح گرم خرید' کمتر رایج است تا 'او برای شکار چند تفنگ خرید'.
Formal/technical. Interchangeable with 'guns' in legal or official contexts. 'Firearms legislation' works, but 'He bought some firearms for hunting' is less common than 'He bought some guns for hunting'.

General. 'Weapons' is a broader category that includes knives, bombs, etc., not just guns. Not directly interchangeable if you specifically mean 'guns'. 'Many weapons were confiscated' works, but 'My weapon is a pistol' implies you're specifying the type.
