تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج/رسمی. نام کامل و رسمی این رشته. در تمام زمینهها با 'math' قابل جایگزینی است، اما 'math' در مکالمه روزمره بسیار رایجتر است. 'Mathematics' اغلب در نوشتار آکادمیک ترجیح داده میشود.
Common/Formal. The full, formal name for the subject. Fully interchangeable with 'math' in all contexts, but 'math' is much more common in everyday spoken English. 'Mathematics' is often preferred in academic writing.
