تفاوت با واژههای مشابه

Common. Refers to exact copies or models, often of physical objects. It is similar in being a copy but doesn't necessarily carry the negative connotation of being misleading or superficial like 'simulacra'. 'They created replicas of historical artifacts.' works, but you wouldn't typically say 'The media created replicas of reality' in the same critical sense as 'simulacra'.

Similar to 'simulacra' in terms of lacking true substance, but 'phantasms' often imply something supernatural or purely mental. 'He was haunted by phantasms of his past.' works, but 'The simulacra of consumer culture' refers to artificial representations, not necessarily ghosts.
