Literary/folk tales. Similar mythological creature, often larger and more human-like. Not interchangeable in casual talk about trolls, e.g. 'ogre under the bridge' rare compared to 'troll under the bridge'.
مناسب داستانهای فولکلور و فانتزی. موجود افسانهای کوچک و حیلهگر. خیلی جایگزین troll نمیشود مگر در زمینههای فانتزی کلی.

رایج. عمداً تحریک یا وادار کردن به واکنش. به صورت فعل مستقیم برای کارهای اینترنتی کمتر به کار میرود.
عامیانه/اینترنتی. کسی که پیامهای توهینآمیز مستقیم میگذارد. با troll همپوشانی دارد ولی فلیمر معمولاً خشنتر است.
Informal/Internet slang. Someone who posts aggressive insults online. Overlaps with troll but usually more direct and hostile, e.g. a flamer is aggressive whereas a troll might be more subtle.
رسمی. کسی که عمدتاً دیگران را تحریک میکند، چه آنلاین و چه آفلاین، از لحاظ قصد مشابه troll است.
Formal. Someone who intentionally provokes others. Can be offline or online, less specific than internet troll but similar intent.
Common. To deliberately provoke or lure someone into reacting. Similar meaning in online context but less used as a direct verb for internet actions.
رایج/رسمی. رساندن به واکنش شدید، کلیتر و رسمیتر از troll و غیر خاص آنلاین.
Common/Formal. To cause a strong reaction. More general and formal than troll, not specific to online context.
