Literary/archaic. Expresses great sorrow or distress, often more profound than 'alas'. 'Woe is me' is a classic expression. 'Alas' is more general for sadness or regret, not always as intense.
روزمره. قید است و بیانگر غم یا تأسف برای یک موقعیت، اغلب در ابتدای جمله. از 'alas' کمتر دراماتیک و در گفتار مدرن رایجتر است.
Everyday. An adverb expressing sorrow or regret for a situation, often at the beginning of a sentence. It's less dramatic than 'alas' and more commonly used in modern speech. 'Sadly, he never returned' is common, 'Alas, he never returned' is more literary.
