رسمی/ادبی. وقتی تبانی شامل آسیب یا فعالیت غیرقانونی، اغلب در مقیاس بزرگتر باشد، با 'colluding' قابل جایگزینی است. 'سیاستمداران برای سرنگونی دولت توطئه میکردند' درست است. 'دانشآموزان برای تقلب در امتحان توطئه میکردند' نیز درست است، اما اگر شدت کمتری داشته باشد، 'colluding' ممکن است ترجیح داده شود.
