تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. به چیزی اشاره دارد که باعث آسیب یا زیان میشود. در حالی که یک عمل مضر میتواند ضدمولد باشد، 'detrimental' بر خود آسیب تمرکز دارد، نه لزوماً معکوس شدن نتیجه مطلوب. همیشه قابل جایگزینی نیست. 'سیگار برای سلامتی مضر است' اما لزوماً ضدمولد نیست مگر اینکه هدف سلامتی باشد.
Formal. Refers to something that causes harm or damage. While a detrimental action can be counterproductive, 'detrimental' focuses on the harm itself, not necessarily the reversal of a desired outcome. Not always interchangeable. 'Smoking is detrimental to health' but not necessarily counterproductive unless the goal was health.
