A person or thing that discriminates, especially one that distinguishes between things. In electronics, a circuit that converts a frequency- or phase-modulated signal into an amplitude-modulated signal.

Stronger and more negative. A 'bigot' holds strong, unreasonable prejudices against people of a different race, religion, etc. A 'discriminator' may simply act on existing biases, which can be less severe than a bigot's entrenched views.
