تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. به عمل ارائه نادرست یا غیردقیق چیزی، اغلب عمداً، اشاره دارد. برای اطلاعات قابل تعویض است. «گزارش حاوی نادرستنماییها/تحریفهای زیادی از واقعیت بود». برای اشیاء فیزیکی استفاده نمیشود.
Common. Refers to the act of presenting something falsely or inaccurately, often deliberately. Interchangeable for information. 'The report contained many misrepresentations/distortions of fact'. Not used for physical objects.
فنی/رسمی. عمدتاً به تغییر فیزیکی در شکل یا فرم اشاره دارد، اغلب به دلیل فشار یا نیرو. «تغییر شکل فلز تحت فشار» درست است. برای مفاهیم انتزاعی مانند حقیقت کمتر رایج است.
Technical/Formal. Primarily refers to a physical change in shape or form, often due to stress or force. 'The deformation of metal under pressure' works. Less common for abstract concepts like truth.
