Formal, general. While a druid was a type of priest, 'priest' is a much broader term referring to religious officiants in many faiths. You can't use 'priest' to specifically mean an ancient Celtic religious figure. 'The priest performed the ceremony' works, but 'The druid performed the ceremony' is more specific to Celtic rituals.

While druids had spiritual roles, 'shaman' is typically associated with different cultural contexts and practices. 'The shaman healed the sick' works, but using it for a druid would be culturally inaccurate.
