To look at someone in a way that shows strong attraction or desire, often in an inappropriate or obvious manner.
«او در مهمانی با تمایل به بازیگر نگاه میکرد.»
“He was ogling the actress at the party.”
«او او را در کافه هنگام زل زدن گرفت.»
“She caught him ogling her at the café.”
روزمره. وقتی نگاه ثابت مدنظر است جایگزین میشود اما بار تمایل ندارد؛ «او به نقاشی زل زد» درست است ولی «او با تمایل به او زل زد» کمتر واضح است.
Everyday. Can replace 'ogle' when describing a fixed gaze but lacks the connotation of desire; 'She stared at the painting' works, 'She stared at him with desire' is less clear.
رسمی/روزمره. به نگاه طولانی و ثابت اشاره دارد که میتواند خنثی یا مثبت باشد؛ برخلاف ogle تمایل یا ناپسندی را نشان نمیدهد.
Formal/casual. Refers to long, steady look that can be neutral or positive; unlike 'ogle' it doesn't imply desire or impropriety.
