روزمره/بالینی. 'پارانوئید' وضعیت سوءظن و بیاعتمادی غیرمنطقی به دیگران را توصیف میکند، اغلب با توهمات آزار و اذیت. در اشاره به وضعیت ذهنی یا توهمات یک فرد، تا حد زیادی با 'persecutory' قابل تعویض است. 'توهمات پارانوئید' در گفتار عمومی رایجتر از 'توهمات آزاردهنده' است، اگرچه هر دو از نظر بالینی استفاده میشوند.
Everyday/Clinical. 'Paranoid' describes a state of irrational suspicion and distrust of others, often with delusions of persecution. It is largely interchangeable with 'persecutory' when referring to a person's state of mind or delusions. 'Paranoid delusions' is more common than 'persecutory delusions' in general speech, though both are used clinically.
