تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی/ادبی. به پیروان یک معلم، رهبر یا فلسفه اشاره دارد. اگر راهنمایی فکری یا معنوی باشد میتواند با 'proteges' همپوشانی داشته باشد، اما 'disciples' لزوماً حمایت برای پیشرفت شغلی دریافت نمیکنند. 'عیسی و پیروانش' درست است، اما 'پیروان مدیرعامل' اگر منظور کارمندان جوانی باشد که او را راهنمایی میکند، خیلی مناسب نیست.
Formal/Literary. Refers to followers of a teacher, leader, or philosophy. Can overlap with 'proteges' if the guidance is intellectual or spiritual, but 'disciples' don't necessarily receive career advancement support. 'Jesus and his disciples' works, but 'the CEO's disciples' doesn't quite fit if it means junior employees he's mentoring.

Common. Refers to people learning a trade or skill from a skilled employer, typically for a fixed period. They are explicitly learning a trade, whereas a protege might be in any field and receiving broader support. 'The apprentices learned quickly' works, but 'the politician's apprentices' sounds less natural than 'the politician's proteges'.
