تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. به معنای قابلیت بازگشت به شکل اولیه پس از کشیده شدن است. 'لاستیکی' به بافت و اغلب مقاومت در برابر جویدن اشاره دارد، در حالی که 'کشسان' صرفاً بر انعطافپذیری تمرکز دارد. یک نوار لاستیکی، لاستیکی است، اما یک پارچه کشسان لزوماً لاستیکی نیست.
Common. Means able to return to its original shape after being stretched or pulled. 'Rubbery' implies the texture and often a resistance to chewing, while 'elastic' focuses purely on flexibility. An elastic band is rubbery, but an elastic fabric is not necessarily rubbery.

Common. Describes food that requires considerable chewing. 'Chewy' focuses on the mouthfeel and effort to eat, whereas 'rubbery' describes the physical properties which might make it chewy. Gummy bears are chewy, but not exactly rubbery in the same way an old steak is.
