تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره. maid اصطلاحی خنثی برای کارگر خانگی زن است، بدون بار منفی کار زیاد یا استثمار که slavey دارد. اگر قصد انتقال مفهوم استثمار باشد، قابل تعویض نیست.
Everyday. 'Maid' is a neutral term for a female domestic worker, without the negative connotations of being overworked or exploited that 'slavey' implies. Not interchangeable if the intent is to convey exploitation.
ادبی/غیررسمی. به کسی اطلاق میشود که کارهای سخت، پست یا خستهکننده انجام میدهد. در مفهوم انجام کارهای طاقتفرسا قابل تعویض است، اما drudge به طور خاص به خدمتکار خانگی اشاره نمیکند.
Literary/Informal. Refers to someone who performs hard, menial, or dull work. Can be interchangeable in the sense of someone doing laborious tasks, but 'drudge' doesn't specifically imply a domestic servant.
