رسمی/ادبی. اغلب به پیشبینی الهی یا الهام گرفته شده، معمولاً در مورد رویدادهای مهم اشاره دارد. میتوان آن را به جای 'soothsaying' استفاده کرد، اما 'soothsaying' اغلب معنای روزمرهتر و کمتر مقدسی دارد. 'اوراکل پیشگویی کرد' درست است، 'پیشگو به غیبگویی پرداخت' نیز درست است.
Formal/literary. Often implies a divine or inspired prediction, often concerning significant events.
