تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره. عمدتاً با 'stories' در اشاره به روایتهای تخیلی یا داستانهای عامیانه سنتی قابل تعویض است. برای ادبیات کودکان یا روایتهای قدیمی و دلنشین استفاده میشود.
Everyday. Largely interchangeable with 'stories' when referring to fictional narratives or traditional folk narratives. Use for children's literature, or quaint, old narratives. 'Bedtime stories' works, 'news tales' doesn't.
رسمی/آکادمیک. وقتی به گزارشی ساختاریافته از رویدادها، بهویژه در متون آکادمیک یا ادبی، اشاره دارد، با 'stories' قابل تعویض است.
Formal/academic. Interchangeable with 'stories' when referring to a structured account of events, especially in academic or literary contexts. 'The narrative of the war' works, 'tell me a narrative' doesn't.

Everyday. Completely interchangeable with 'stories' when referring to the levels of a building. 'A five-story building' is common, but 'a five-floor building' is also perfectly natural.
