رسمی/مذهبی. به رئیس یک پریوری (صومعه کوچکتر) یا مرئوس یک ابات در یک صومعه بزرگتر اشاره دارد. کاملاً قابل تعویض نیست زیرا ابات همیشه رئیس عالی یک صومعه کامل است.
Formal/Religious. Refers to the head of a priory, a smaller monastery, or a subordinate to an abbot in a larger monastery. Not fully interchangeable as an abbot is always the supreme head of a full monastery.
