رسمی. بیشتر به جدایی عاطفی یا روانی اشاره دارد تا فیزیکی؛ در توصیف احساسات یا روابط استفاده میشود.
Formal. Indicates emotional or psychological separation more than physical; used in describing feelings or relationships.
روزمره. وقتی درباره اندازه بین دو نقطه باشد جایگزین distance میشود ولی برای جدایی احساسی یا انتزاعی جواب نمیدهد؛ مثلا length of the table درست است اما length between us برای جدایی احساسی نیست.
Everyday. Can replace 'distance' when referring to extent between two points, but not for emotional or abstract separation; e.g., 'the length of the table' works, 'the length between us' (meaning emotional) does not.
رایج. به طور کلی به فضای بین اشیا اشاره دارد، همیشه طول دقیق نیست؛ در معناهای مجازی هم استفاده میشود ولی برای اندازهگیری دقیق کمتر مناسب است.
Common. Refers more generally to the area or volume between things, not always a measured linear distance; can be used figuratively but less precise for measuring length.
