روزمره. فقط وقتی به رضایت شخصی اشاره دارد جایگزین proud میشود.
Everyday. Can replace proud only when referring to personal satisfaction — 'I’m pleased with my work' works, but 'He is proud of his heritage' does not.
غیررسمی/منفی. احساس برتری اغراقآمیز را میرساند و مثبت نیست.
Informal/negative. Implies an exaggerated sense of one’s importance; not interchangeable with proud when the feeling is positive — 'He is arrogant' differs from 'He is proud'.
