تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. به معنای اندازه کوچک کلی است؛ در بیشتر موارد قابل تعویض است ولی tininess بر کوچک بودن شدید یا قابل توجه تأکید دارد.
Common. Means general small size; interchangeable in many contexts but 'tininess' stresses extreme or noticeable smallness. For example, 'the tininess of the insect' versus 'the smallness of the machine'.
رسمی/غیررسمی. معمولاً به عنوان صفت یا اسم استفاده میشود؛ کمتر به عنوان اسم برای این حس مجازی کوچک بودن به کار میرود. کاملاً قابل تعویض نیست.
Formal/informal. Often used as adjective or noun as well; less commonly as noun for this abstract sense of smallness. Not fully interchangeable with tininess.
