تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. کارگر ماهری که اشیا را با دست میسازد. در حالی که جوشکار یک صنعتگر است، 'artisan' واژهای گستردهتر برای هر کسی با یک حرفه دستی است. در مکالمه روزمره هنگام اشاره خاص به جوشکار مستقیماً قابل تعویض نیست. 'یک صنعتگر فلز' شامل جوشکاران میشود، اما 'او یک صنعتگر است' به جوشکاری اشاره نمیکند.
Formal. A skilled worker who makes things by hand. While a welder is an artisan, 'artisan' is a broader term for anyone with a manual craft. Not directly interchangeable in everyday conversation when referring specifically to someone who welds. 'A metal artisan' would include welders, but 'he's an artisan' doesn't specify welding.
