رسمی/مذهبی. رئیس یک دیر که خانه رهبانی کوچکتری است، یا معاون یک رئیس صومعه در یک صومعه بزرگتر. 'Prior' رتبهای پایینتر از 'abbot' است. 'رئیس دیر جامعه کوچک را اداره میکرد' درست است.
Formal/religious. The head of a priory, which is a smaller monastic house, or a deputy to an abbot in a larger abbey. 'Prior' is a lower rank than 'abbot'. 'The prior managed the small community' works.
