تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. در بیشتر زمینههای گرد هم آمدن افراد جایگزین forgather میشود، اما assemble میتواند به جمع شدن اشیا نیز اشاره کند. 'قطعات جمع شدند' درست است، 'قطعات forgathered شدند' درست نیست.
Formal. Interchangeable with 'forgather' in most contexts of people meeting, but 'assemble' can also refer to things coming together. 'The parts assembled' works, 'the parts forgathered' does not.
رسمی. دلالت بر یک جلسه یا گردهمایی رسمی دارد، اغلب با هدف خاص. 'کمیته تشکیل جلسه داد' درست است، 'دوستان برای شام تشکیل جلسه دادند' کمتر طبیعی است.
Formal. Implies a formal meeting or gathering, often with a specific purpose. 'The committee convened' works, 'friends convened for dinner' is less natural than 'friends forgathered for dinner'.
