روزمره/رسمی. feminine یک اصطلاح گستردهتر و خنثیتر برای ویژگیهای مرتبط با زنان یا دختران است. girly بیشتر مختص دختران جوان است و گاهی میتواند مفهوم کمی منفی یا غیررسمی از بیش از حد ظریف یا بچگانه بودن را به همراه داشته باشد. اگر منظور، بچگانه یا ظریف بودن بیش از حد نباشد، همیشه قابل تعویض نیست.
Everyday/Formal. 'Feminine' is a broader and more neutral term for qualities associated with women or girls. 'Girly' is more specific to young girls and can sometimes carry a slightly negative or informal connotation of being overly delicate or childish. Not always interchangeable if the nuance of being overly childish or delicate is not intended.
